Day 0- August 18 Friday- If you do not feel confident about arriving on time on Saturday morning, you may book a pre-night hotel stay in Salt Lake City. Holiday Inn Express
Day 1- August 19 Saturday – Salt Lake City – Idaho Falls
Today, your Solar Eclipse 2017 adventure begins! Fly into Salt Lake City and meet your tour director at the Airport by 1:00 pm. (*Please arrive at the Salt Lake Airport before 1:00 pm). Depart and travel north into Idaho and pass through fertile farmland where Idaho’s famous potatoes are grown. Arrive Idaho Falls and your hotel right on the bank of the Snake River for a one night stay. Tonight join the group for a welcome dinner and solar eclipse 2017 tour lecture.

DAY 2 –August 20th, Sunday- Craters of the Moon – Potato Museum
This morning depart Idaho Falls and travel west to visit the intriguing Craters of the Moon National Monument. Craters of the Moon formed during eight major eruptive periods between 15,000 and 2000 years ago. Lava erupted from the Great Rift, a series of deep cracks that start near the visitor center and stretch 52 miles to the southeast. During this time the Craters of the Moon lava field grew to cover 618 square miles. Enjoy this spectacular monument including scenic viewpoints, amazing Lava Tubes and a picnic lunch. You will also pass through Arco, also known as Atomic City, the first town to be powered by nuclear energy and continues to be a center for development and testing of nuclear energy for both military and civilian use. There will be time to check out eclipse viewing areas for the following day and experience the weather. On the way back to Idaho Falls, stop in Blackfoot and visit the Idaho Potato Museum. The Idaho Potato Museum is a unique museum which appropriately showcases Idaho’s Famous Potatoes. The rich graphics showcasing the history of the potato will lead you through the revolution of the potato industry. From the original potato planted in Idaho, to the largest potato crisp made by the Pringle’s Company in Jackson, TN. The museum provides information on potato history, the growing and harvesting process, nutrition, trivia and educational potato facts. This evening join the group for a Western BBQ Dinner.

DAY 3 –Monday August 21- Solar Eclipse 2017 Tour– Teton Valley, Driggs, ID.
This morning experience a Total Solar Eclipse as it passes over the area with a partial eclipse starting around 10:15 am and a maximum eclipse at 11:34 am. A site has been chosen between Driggs and Victor, Idaho. Once permissions are obtained, we will update here. Fancy sandwich lunch. In the afternoon, depart and travel south returning to Utah. Visit Antelope Island State Park on the Great Salt Lake for sightseeing. Stop at scenic Buffalo Point with spectacular views of the lake and the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains. There will be the opportunity to view wildlife on the island including buffalo, deer, antelope, coyote, waterfowl and more. At the Visitors Center a park ranger will introduce you to the unique ecosystem of this inland salt sea. Arrive Salt Lake City in the late afternoon and enjoy a brief driving tour of this premier western city. After checking into a downtown hotel, join the group for a special farewell dinner at The Roof restaurant overlooking Temple Square.

DAY 4 – Journey Home (8/22 Tue)
After breakfast, transfer to the Salt Lake Airport for your journey home. You will take not only the memories of incredible scenic attractions, but also the friendships of those who have shared these days with you.

CHILD RATE: $580.00 *child rate is based on 11yrs and under, sharing a room with a paying adult.
$400 pp deposit refundable less credit card fees until April 19, 2017. The balance is due by April 19, 2017. Deduct 2% if paying by check. Please consider travelers cancellation, accident and sickness insurance. Refunds after final payment and prior to travel are subject to penalty. No refunds for no-shows.
