A Total Solar Eclipse will pass over the Cairns, Port Douglas area of Queensland, Australia, November 14th 2012. The moon will eclipse the sun at approximately 6:40 am local time for about two minutes. The sun will rise in the east over the Coral Sea and then be rapidly overtaken by the moon. On the inspection tour, we would have seen the eclipse on any of the 5 mornings. All would have been nervous as clouds appeared on the horizon each morning. The cleared out as the sun rose.
