GRAND CHINA TOUR EXPERIENCE– CHINA TOUR
Day 1. Phoenix to LAX – Beijing
Transfer from Phoenix area to LAX.
Board an Evening international flight bound for Beijing, to begin your China tour.
Day 2. En route to Beijing to Begin your China Tour Arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China just after lunch at the local time Greet your local guide in the arrivals hall and a team of professional assistants that will help your group with luggage and then transfer you in major comfort to your hotel.
Day 3. Beijing (AB, SD)
Each day we begin with an International Buffet. After breakfast, you will sightsee Tiananmen Square, which is noted as the largest public square in the world and then the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City followed by the Temple of Heaven.
The bus will drop you at an area where international visitors have many choices for lunch according to their individual tastes. After Lunch, Later visit Summer Palace declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998. Return to the hotel with enough time to refresh before dinner.
In the evening, enjoy a Peking duck dinner, the region’s famous dish.
Day 4. Beijing – Xian (AB, L, HD)
The Great Wall of China is one of the seven greatest man-made wonders of the world and is definitely the focal point of China. You will hike along the Great Wall (Juyongguan Pass), Ming Tombs and the Walk of the Sacred Way. Mid afternoon, return to Beijing at Wangfujing Street, one of the Chinese capital’s most trendy shopping districts with restaurants, and pubs well frequented by foreigners as well the locals. There are also arts and handicraft galleries in the area, and this area is famous for being able to find expertly crafted cloisonné and terrific bargains and this afternoon to go to the Hutongs, and experience life as it was in Beijing two centuries ago, where people lived and shopped and communed in courtyards. Western style Dinner at Days Inn with a real American Bar. Take evening overnight train to Xian (soft-sleeper 4 Pax per Cabin)
Day 5. Xian (LD)
Scenic viewing and breakfast on you own on the train. Upon arrival in Xian, your first stop will be lunch and check in at our hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit the Buddhist Jianfu Temple, where the towering Small Wild Goose Pagoda commands panoramic views of the city The motorcoach takes us back inside city limits to visit the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. Back to the hotel with enough time to refresh for the evening Tang Dynasty Dinner Show.
Day 6. Xian (B, L)
After breakfast Tour the famous “Terra Cotta Warriors.” Spend some time admiring the fine troops, horses, and carriages in battle formation. In-depth discussion, video and presentation will be given.
This afternoon there is an option available to join a group of Bike riders along the top of the Xian City Wall. Or you may choose optional Chinese foot massage.
Dinner this evening is on your own. You may try Chinese Hot Pot or go the Xian Night Market for street food and trinkets.
Day 7. Xian – Lijiang (AB, D)
Catch an early flight to Lijiang, a small city in Yunnan famous for its natural beauty and minority culture. Upon your arrival, you’ll be met by the tour guide in the airport and then transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon see the Giant Buddha by river cruise.
Day 8. Lijiang (AB, L)
Today you’ll visit the picturesque Lijiang old town, followed by a visit to the ancient Baisha Mural Paintings, where you can see the Ming and Qing Dynasty fresco. You will then be driven back to Lijiang where you will visit the Black Dragon Pool and Museum of Naxi Dongba Culture.
Day 9. Lijiang (AB, L, SD)
Breakfast at the hotel, then we board the coach to visit Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the world’s four great gorges. Located in Hutiaoxia Town in Zhongdian County, It is honored as one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges on the earth. Move on to visit the First Bend on the Yangtze River located on the north end of the highway leading from Dali to Lijiang,
about 70 km from Lijiang Town.
Once en route, also, tour the Iron Chain Bridge in the Stone Drum town. On the mountain at the river’s bend stands Stone Drum (Shigu) Town. This ancient town is named after a drum-shaped marble plaque. Built during the Jiaqing era (1548-1561) of the Ming Dynasty, the huge stone drum carved Town is the witness of the vicissitudes of the times. These lyrical scenes are really considered China’s paradise. Lijiang Impressions Show and dinner.
Day 10. Lijiang – Chongqing (AB)
Tour Goose Neck Park and Hongya Cave upon arrival in Chongqing, it’s near Jiefangbei road shopping street, a recreation of the old Chongqing, clinging to the side of the mountain with many small shops. Afternoon tour of the General Stillwell Museum of the Flying Tigers. Early evening shopping market before boarding the ship which will allow you to buy supplies for your cruise, as well as sample some of the famous night market-style street food. You can also purchase food, dry goods, canned goods as well as Wine & Spirits for your cabin on the cruise. Board the Yangtze River 4 days and 3 nights cruise at afternoon.
Day 11. Yangtze River Cruise (AB, L, D)
This morning we will make a stop for a visit to the Ghost City of Fengdu, famous for its temple dedicated to the King of the Underworld, an association dating back to the Han Dynasty. Fengdu is where the devil lives, according to Chinese legend. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The town is overlooked by Ming Shan Hill, home of Tianzi, the King of the Dead. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, empty shops and banks. An optional ski lift to the top saves walking up hill.
Day 12. Yangtze River Cruise (AB, L, D)
Today will stop off for an excursion to the Lesser Three Gorges which are the three separate valleys of the Daning River: Dragon Gate Gorge, Misty Gorge and Emerald Gorge. These lie on the lower reaches of the Daning, which flows into the Yangtze. The gorges are truly spectacular. Sheer cliffs soar up towards the sky from the brown-green water. Mountain tops hover above the ribbon of mist, disconnected from their roots. Its “subtle mountains, clear waters, pretty rocks, dangerous rapids, sharp turns, fantastic caves, and stalactites in various shapes” create the timeless beauty that you see in Chinese landscape paintings. Monkeys, mandarin ducks and other water birds can be seen loitering on big boulders in this area. In addition to, the wonderful natural scenery there are a number of historical places of interest along the way, such as a suspended coffin, boat coffin, and remains of ancient plank walkway.
Day 13. Yangtze River Cruise / Yichang – Shanghai (AB, D)
Disembark at Yichang. Catch a flight to Shanghai, which boasts the largest population of any city in China. You’ll spend some time soaking up the electric energy of the Bund – a riverside avenue showcasing international architecture and the world of high finance.
After dinner at the hotel, we take a Shanghai Huangpu River Night Cruise.
Day 14. Shanghai (AB,L)
Shanghai is a city that must be seen to be appreciated. Morning, visit Yuyuan Garden. Laid out in the 16th century by a Ming official, this small (2 hectares) garden is a delight of pools, pavilions and rock gardens. Strolling through the bazaar surrounding the garden, you will find lines of stores that sell traditional Chinese arts and crafts. Next visit Shanghai Old City. In the afternoon, we visit Jade Buddha Temple. It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Burma by sea. These were a sitting Buddha (1.95 metres tall, 3 tonnes), and a smaller reclining Buddha representing Buddha’s death. The temple now also contains a much larger reclining Jade Buddha, donated from Singapore, and visitors may mistake this larger sculpture for the original, smaller piece. Later, enjoy walking tour on the Bund. Along the 1.5 km bund, all the grand buildings are over hundred years, each of them has its own story. Lined with all the colonial buildings, the Bund is a significant area for the recent Chinese history and overlooking Huangpu River. (some of these stops will be moved to Day 13 as flight schedules permit)
Day 15. Shanghai (AB, SD)
China tour free day at leisure. Options to go to Suzhou water town with lunch $59 (minimum of 2 passengers).

Day 16 Shanghai – USA (AB)
After breakfast, China Tour farewell and board our return flights back home.
